**A great opportunity has become available for an experienced Engineering Operations Manager** **to be based at World Trade Centre, Melbour**ne**.

The Engineering Operations Manager is a key leadership role within the Technical and Engineering function. The function provides engineering capability support to Business Segments within Domain as well as customers.
The purpose of the Engineering Operations Manager position is to:

- Manage all operational activities within the Technical and Engineering function to the satisfaction of all key stakeholders
- Operate as a team player within the domain Technical and Engineering leadership team
- Role model behaviours and values in line with the relevant domain Engineering Charter
- Effectively manage key stakeholder relationships

**YOUR ROLE**

Working from our Melbourne Office in the World Trade Centre on Wurundjeri land, your role purpose will be:

- Lead technical and engineering workforce planning and allocate resources to bids, projects and products within Domain perimeter
- Develop the engineering Make-Team-Buy and footprint strategy
- Technical and Engineering and manage implementation activities
- Establish, in collaboration with Procurement, the standing arrangements with suppliers of engineering services to deliver outsourced activities
- Manage the generic WBS/PBS and estimate approaches and maintain reference cost actuals from bids, projects and products
- Lead the Decision Management discipline within the function
- Operate as the Engineering Environment Manager for the Domain in collaboration with IS/IT
- Maintain competitiveness dashboard and collaborate with the Project Management Office and Finance to report key KPIs within Domain perimeter including Development On Time Delivery (DOTD), Development On Quality Delivery (DOQD) and Engineering Efficiency Index (EEI)
- Actively facilitate routes of resolution for operations issues to the satisfaction of key stakeholders and lead identification and management of continuous improvement activities
- Ensure that engineering activities and reviews include all the disciplines necessary to ensure solution safety, solution security, design to cost, design for manufacture, acceptance and service

**YOUR EXPERIENCE**

To be successful in your role, you will have demonstrated and/or acquired the following knowledge and experience:

- Bachelor of Engineering Degree or equivalent.
- Recognised as a Chartered Engineer (CPEng) by Engineers Australia or demonstrated engineering competencies required to attain CPEng
- Eligible for Australian State engineering registration and the National Engineering Register.
- Line Management of engineering teams.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
