**What **you’ll** do**:
Commercial lead - Non-regulated revenue:

- Support the management of all commercial and administrative matters for non-regulated revenue contracts, ensuring optimum performance, risk management and contract value is delivered through the contract.
- Identify commercial & financial risks and opportunities associated with non-regulated revenue contracts, analyse and address them in a timely manner to ensure WaterNSW and its Stakeholders benefit from sound decisions made.
- Manage and negotiate the commercial arrangements of existing and new non-regulated revenue contracts, including ensuring invoicing has been completed in line with milestones.
- Management of the non-regulated revenue contracts register, ensuring contracts are administered, controls are adhered to, and key contractual terms and milestones are documented. Management of the non-regulated pricing policy to ensure WaterNSW pricing for non-regulated works covers all costs and delivers a commercially appropriate margin.
- Manage stakeholder relationships through effective communication, negotiations and issue management to ensure stakeholders are engaged throughout the process

Finance Business Partnering:

- Perform financial & commercial analysis on procurement initiatives, supply contracts and partnering with the Procurement team to aid decision making and drive value for WaterNSW.
- Through proactive partnering with the business, provide technical advice to support effective financial management, budgeting, forecasting and analysis of Opex and Capex at divisional level.
- Partner with the business throughout the annual budgeting process, including focus on the key costs and risks for long term performance, translating organisational targets to operational targets, and contributing to the business planning process.
- Lead financial input into, and the review of, key strategic planning documents, to ensure consistency with corporate operating and capital commitments.
- Analyse divisional and business unit financial information, deviations from plan and trends to understand and advise on the division’s overall financial performance and provide coaching and technical advice around financial controls and actions related to budget variances.\
- Lead and contribute to ad hoc projects across the Finance Portfolio including continuous improvement, commercial initiatives, financial analysis and financial governance initiatives.

**What we are looking for**:

- Relevant degree qualification (e.g. Accounting, Finance) or experience deemed equivalent
- Professional Accounting Qualification (CA/CPA)
- Current drivers Licence
- Experience in partnering with the business in negotiating revenue/supply contracts and providing commercial advice and oversight.
- Experience partnering with procurement functions performing financial analysis and building models to deliver insight relating to category supply options and sourcing
- Experience in finance business partnering, providing financial and commercial advice to executive managers and their teams
- Demonstrated knowledge of commercial management principles and commercial contracts.
- Proven ability to use business and financial data to resolve business issues and questions and identify efficiencies and opportunities for the business.
- Knowledge & experience in the energy sector and the role of renewable energy
- In depth knowledge and understanding of commercial management principles
