**About the Role**

Reporting to the Wireless Field Supervisor you will be responsible for the technical installation of radio and transmission equipment into Carrier and Utility company telecommunications sites.

**Responsibilities**
- Installation and commissioning telecommunications equipment for 4G / 5G / PMR and transmission systems such as Fibre, PDH, SDH, DWDM, IP and carrier Ethernet.
- Microwave equipment installation, commissioning, and integration.
- Assisting with installations, moves, additions, changes, maintenance, and repair support for customer telecommunications equipment.
- Handover Packs and project completion documentation.
- Ensuring any working at heights activities are performed safely and in accordance with safety procedures.
- Correct maintenance and calibration of related test and safety equipment.
- Minimisation of defects and resulting re-visits.
- Ensuring that OH&S Policy requirements are always observed and followed.
- Readiness to travel regularly to sites across the state for installations.
- Compliance with Australian standards and regulations.
- Monitoring and checking plant, equipment and PPE are in specification and tagged / tested in line with company policy.

**Skills & Experience**
- Previous experience as a mobile comms technician
- Australian Drivers Licence & Construction White Card
- First Aid and CPR Certificates
- Open Cabler Licence

Highly desirable;
- Working at Heights
- Perform Elevated Work Platform Rescue & Controlled Descent Escape
- Boom-type EWP License (Boom length 11 meters or more)
- Use Safe Rigging Practices to Club and Perform Rescues on Telecomms Network Structures OR Patricipate in a rescue operation OR Perform Town Rescue
