About the Role

Your work will directly contribute to fostering a Positive School Culture. Supporting student engagement is critical in improving student outcomes, as regular school/class attendance enhances engagement, academic achievement and overall wellbeing. By monitoring attendance patterns and ensuring timely follow-ups, you will help create a learning environment where students feel supported and encouraged to succeed.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Develop strong relationships with students, parents/carers and community members using exceptional interpersonal skills and communication.
Monitor attendance patterns of students or groups of students and, in accordance with the school's attendance plan, implement early intervention strategies. Be available before, after and during school times to monitor and assist students to re-engage and attend classes.
Provide individual and group support to students through the facilitation of re-engagement in consultation with the Executive.
Liaison with Wellbeing Team, Attendance Officer and Executive to refer students to school support services staff and other personnel as required.
Maintain quality in the performance of all duties, ensuring adherence to expectations, guidelines and procedures while continually seeking improvements in the way work is undertaken.

Proactive and demonstrate initiative to solve complex problems.
