**Job Description** About the Opportunity**

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Climate Action, you will actively contribute to a high-performing team and drive impact by working productively and efficiently, collaborating closely with other Focus & Enabler and Corporate Services areas as part of our matrix structure and championing our One Minderoo Culture. Focusing where applicable on partners, stakeholders and beneficiaries to execute a content strategy aligned with Minderoo’s strategic goals.

As the Advisor, Climate Action, you will contribute to identifying, developing, and maintaining partner-led strategies and initiatives through a partner-led approach towards Australia achieving real zero by eliminating our use and export of fossil fuels, transitioning our fossil fuel reliant commodities, and harnessing opportunities to become a global renewable energy superpower that delivers a prosperous and liveable future for all Australians. You will generate ideas and innovate in the field of climate action, driving positive shifts in public sentiments, policy settings, and innovation.
**Qualifications** About You**
- With partners, contribute to the development and execution of strategies and collaborations that consider economic incentives, regulatory levers, and business model innovations that inform mechanisms to drive Australia’s economy away from a reliance on fossil fuels in order to achieve Real Zero.
- With partners, drive initiatives that support a just and equitable transition for Australian communities.
- Contribute to the development of a strategic investment pipeline that supports the outcomes of Real Zero Australia.
- Contribute to and maintain detailed and ongoing broad partner landscape assessments including review of partner effectiveness, approach and innovations to ensure the Body of Work is agile, innovative and impactful.
- Develop grant and donation agreements, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to establish, maintain and monitor effective and impactful collaborations.
- Stay informed on local and global policy developments, identifying opportunities for Australia to contribute to and benefit from international climate commitments and frameworks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate climate change objectives into the broader Minderoo strategy.
- Implement and maintain systems for tracking, measuring, and analysing the impact of initiatives on fossil fuel reduction, policies and global climate alignment.
- Regularly assess progress toward Real Zero targets, using insights to refine approaches and enhance future initiatives.
- Develop and evaluate partnership in accordance with Minderoo’s Impact Measurement and Learning framework.
- Work collaboratively with members of the Climate Action and related climate teams, across Natural Ecosystems and other Focus and Enabler areas within Minderoo, and externally, adding value and maximising outputs to drive Australia’s energy transition and climate action.

**Subject matter expertise**

Tertiary education and demonstrated practical experience in a relevant discipline such as environmental or climate science, public policy, sustainability, economics or a related field is required, including 3 - 5 years of relevant experience in climate policy, environmental advocacy, or sustainable development with a proven track record of managing high-impact initiatives and collaborations with multiple stakeholders
