**About the Opportunity**

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the **Women’s and Babies Division**as a** Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager,**where you will be responsible for:

- Using clinical knowledge and experience to coordinate patient/client care delivery within a Health Unit or Community Service.
- Managing, coordinating, and leading nursing/midwifery and multidisciplinary team activities to ensure continuity and quality of care and outcomes.
- Accepting accountability for nursing/midwifery practices and multidisciplinary outcomes in the specific practice setting.
- Addressing inconsistencies between practice and policy to align with best practices.
- Developing team performance and fostering a positive work culture to enhance patient/client outcomes.

**About You**

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Registered or eligible for registration as a Midwife or Nurse / Midwife by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practising certificate.
- Registered Midwife or Nurse/Midwife with at least 3 years post graduation experience or currently classified as a Clinical Midwife or Clinical Nurse/Midwife
- Demonstrated competence in the relevant area of nursing/midwifery practice in accordance with Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) and relevant professional college standards of practice
- Effective leadership skills including highly developed skills in communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to review and improve models of care to be person and family centred.
- Demonstrated ability to foster a workplace environment that develops staff potential
