The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) is seeking a **Recruitment Campaign Manager** to work in our National Recruitment Unit. This is a permanent, full-time or part-time position at the APS 6 classification level.

The successful applicant can work out of our offices located in either Belconnen (Canberra) or Sydney, although flexible working arrangements (including a hybrid model of working from home and the office) apply.

**About the role and the business area**

Some of the tasks you will undertake as a Recruitment Campaign Manager may include:

- discussing talent requirements with business areas, providing appropriate (as well as creative and innovative) solutions
- providing talent sourcing advice and guidance to hiring areas and selection panels
- co-designing and managing talent sourcing processes recruitment campaigns
- using a strong strategic mindset to build relationships with key stakeholders
- maintaining an awareness of the external labour market and internal supply and demand
- demonstrating commitment to improving diversity across the ABS and promoting the ABS as an employer of choice
- managing and developing a small team for high performance
- engaging with HR business areas and other clients (both in internal and across the APS)
- identifying improvements and implementing changes.

Our team is usually around 17 people predominantly based in Canberra and Sydney. We have key partnerships with our HR colleagues (e.g. Pay and Entitlements, People Development, Diversity and Inclusion, Workplace Relations, Workforce Management, etc) and ABS business areas which enables us to respond to the recruitment needs of the ABS.

We also lead the APS Data Graduate Recruitment, which this year involved 40 agencies seeking over 350 graduates, and currently leading geospatial recruitment across 5 agencies.

**What we are looking for (selection criteria)**

To be suitable you should have most or all of the following skills, qualities and experience:

- recruitment or human resources experience (essential), including an understanding of recruitment within an Australian Public Service context (essential)
- excellent communication and client engagement skills
- ability to identify and implement innovations, including in the use of HR related technology
- ability to manage and develop a diverse and high performing team
- experience in managing projects or work program.

Desirable but not essential is someone who has formal qualifications in human resources.
