At Logan City Special School we provide educational programs for students aged from birth to the end of Year 12. Students of compulsory school age have a diagnosed intellectual disabilities, with a large percentage of the whole school population also having additional disabilities, including autism, hearing, vision and physical impairments. The school opened 1972 as the Woodridge Opportunity School. It's name later changed to Woodridge Special School and in 1997 was renamed as Logan City Special School in order to recognise that the students came from the whole of Logan City, not only the Woodridge area. **Teaching in Queensland**: The department is responsible for the delivery of quality education services to all Queensland students in state schools and recognises teachers and their commitment to teaching through a range of rewards and benefits.
