About the role:
In this role you will:
- Participate as an active member of the HR leadership team to deliver HR initiatives and services.
- Proactively lead and manage workplace case management, offering advice on discipline, investigations, ethics, and performance in line with legislation.
- Lead the Injury Management team through the end-to-end process per relevant legislation.
- Prepare accurate and timely advice, assessments, submissions, briefings, and correspondence for decision-maker review.
- Provide expert advice on legislation, industrial instruments, enterprise agreements, and awards.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to address concerns and manage expectations on timeframes and processes.
- Communicate effectively with leaders through strong verbal and written skills.
- Coach and train management, supervisors, and HR practitioners to build capability in employee relations.
- Promote workplace health, safety, and wellbeing across the department.
- Lead planning for continuous business improvement and resource management to meet priorities.
- Represent the department before various Commissions.
- Manage relationships with unions in compliance with legislative frameworks and reform principles.
- Manage contracts with legal advisors to ensure timely delivery.
What we're looking for:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to influence and partner with business leaders at all levels.
- Demonstrated experience in ER/IR and 2+ years in managing a team would be highly regarded.
- The ability to manage multiple processes.
