Early Childhood Educators | Friends’ Early Learning (Casual)

We are seeking to appoint caring and highly motivated people to work with our early learning children on a casual basis.

Our Centre provides early learning programs for children from 12 weeks through to a Kindergarten program for three-to-four-year-olds, as well as an Outside School Hours Care Program.

Applicants must possess a minimum of a Certificate III in Children’s Services. Knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework for Australia and National Quality Standard is central to this role.

Our Early Childhood program embraces the IB PYP, the EYLF and the Reggio Emilia Approach. Knowledge of these would be desirable but is not essential.

The School Professional learning program is varied and includes both internal and external (to attend or facilitate), the Teacher Immersion in Quaker School Program and the Innovation in Teaching and/or Leadership Grants. Staff also have access to professional learning presented by leaders in their field, both locally and globally and in consultation with their supervisor will proactively map their career path for the future.

**Staff Wellbeing**:
The Friends’ School is committed to the physical, mental and emotional wellbeing of our staff.

We have developed a Staff Wellbeing Program which runs throughout the year. This program is designed to give all staff access to information and activities relating to their physical, mental, emotional and financial wellbeing. The program brings staff together from all over our school, fostering engagement in our community.

Eligible staff have the opportunity to access no-cost membership at Friends Health & Fitness, which provides access to the pool and gym facilities. A morning community Yoga class is also hosted once a week for staff and students. Members of The Friends’ School community are also welcome to attend a short Meeting for Worship held each Thursday morning during term time.

An Employee Assistance Program is supported by the School giving staff access to free confidential counselling and has developed a return to work program and health care plans for non-work related injuries.
