**About the Role**:
This a genuinely fascinating career opportunity for an ambitious Health & Safety professional. A commercial builder who is one of the more progressive and modern players in the building game. They are seeking an organised Health & Safety Officer to join the team. You will be site-based reporting to the Site Manager on one of their high-spec luxury apartment projects situated within 20 clicks of Melbourne.
- Your _
**_day-to-day tasks_**:

- will include, but are not limited to:_
- Site inspections and audits to identify and rectify safety breaches and potential hazards.
- Attend and contribute to the site safety committee meetings and follow up on agreed actions.
- Induct all trade contractor site personnel and site personnel in site-specific requirements.
- Monitor and update (SWMS) all safety records and ensure filing is kept up to date.
- Promote safe work practices during the Construction process

**About You**:

- Minimum of Cert IV in OH&S & Level 2 First Aid Certificate
- 2 + years of on-site experience in an HSE/WHS/OHS capacity on commercial/residential construction projects
- Understanding and knowledge of HSEQ processes on site
- Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with all site-based staff and develop a culture of safety
- Familiar with HSEQ management software
