**About the Role**

Due to growth, we are currently looking for an experienced Buying Manager to join the team in this newly created role. This role will be the key contact for the wholesale operations and provides the used-car sales department with a supply of marketable used cars and assists the team in maximising sales opportunities through effective valuing and buying trade stock.

Further to the above the duties and responsibilities of this role will include, but are not limited to, the following:

- Coordinating resourcing and rostering across state-based teams to ensure appropriate levels of coverage and support for the retail business
- Ensuring processes and controls are followed and complied with across the Wholesale and Buyer teams
- Identifying sources of used stock and helping to establish processes to secure inventory
- Reviewing and approving leads and purchases of used stock
- Providing feedback to central pricing and valuations to ensure the accuracy of values
- Overseeing the wholesale process across state-based teams and operations to ensure compliance and efficiency

**About you**:

- Previous experience in a similar role
- Experience managing a team
- Previous experience working in a purchasing team
- Good knowledge of purchasing, commercial understanding, and cost breakdown
- Negotiation skills
- Valid drivers licence
- Ability to build and maintain effective and productive relationships
