**The Opportunity**
We are seeking a **dedicated** Yard Hand to join our team in Mitchell ACT. This is **full time permanent** role with **early starts** (7.30am), **plenty of overtime** available and a **consistent roster**.
In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the **daily cleanliness** and **manual handling** of the general yard.

**Your Key Responsibilities**:

- **Assessing** incoming loads
- **Inform and direct** the public about appropriate areas to put items they're disposing
- **Assist** in **manually sorting** waste and waste dumped in incorrect areas
- Conduct regular **litter picking/machinery cleaning**:

- Learn to **identify higher value non-ferrous items** for recovery
- **Operating a forklift** as required
- Performing **additional yard duties** as needed

**What You'll Bring**
- **Previous labouring experience** - in a similar role is an advantage.
- **Valid driver's license**:

- **Forklift license** is desirable
