MARS are partnering with a global and leading FMCG business that own a large portfolio of renowned brands. They’re looking to hire a Payroll Analyst on an initial 6-month contract. This is to assist in auditing Time & Attendance and payroll processes, to ensure long term operational stability of their outsourced payroll function.

**The Responsibilities**:

- Auditing current processes related to Time & Attendance and payroll to decipher issues or variants that aren’t compliant/legislative, company policy, collective agreement and blueprint
- Developing internal controls to minimise any existing or future risks and provide recommendations i.e at individual employee level
- Creating strategy/roadmap related to auditing Time & Attendance and payroll processes
- Acting as a Subject Matter Expert to facilitate discussions with the relevant parties such as HR, Vendor, Finance, Employee etc
- Improving and simplifying existing processes and creating a standard procedure for the payroll team to follow and manage the task effectively
- Troubleshooting issues and resolving when there is a problem in the systems
- Utilising system information to make reports and indicators to support the audit analysis
- Liaising internally on information related to business requirements, system settings, configuration needs and change related log
- Ensuring all unsolved & potential issues are escalated timely with detailed analysis clearly relayed to the management
- Mentor payroll team with ANZ’s payroll and time knowledge and best experience for payroll team to support the operation effectively in a right way

**The Requirements**:

- 5+ years in payroll and time & attendance services, ideally in a blue-collar function
- Experience in Australian payroll procedures and practices on statutory, payroll administration and legislation
- Experience in SAP, ADP Global View, eTIME, Workday or Kronos is high desirable
- Ability to analyse complex HR processes and develop sound recommendations/solutions
- Understanding of basic project management and development practices (requirement gathering, documentation, implementation), whilst being responsive to end user needs
- Knowledge to connect payroll and T&A with collective agreement in building system configuration and outcome expectation
- Experience in outsourced payroll will be beneficial
- Strong technical and analytical abilities with a logical mind and problem-solving skills
