**The Position**

The research program is built on innovative instrumentation science and high-performance software, developed by a small team of researchers and engineers.

The Research Fellow will be a key member of a fast paced, tightly knit multi-disciplinary team, researching and developing next-generation three-dimensional volumetric imaging instruments in collaboration with industry partners. This is to map the features embedded within inorganic and organic materials to improve inspection precision, mapping accuracy and speed. The Research Fellow will develop innovative optical imaging, tomographic and metrology techniques as part of a multimodal approach to scientific instrumentation. The exciting project will, in addition, involve scientific computing, digital signal processing and mechatronic control as part of the development work.

**The Person**

We are looking for a Research Fellow with experience in the field of instrumentation and imaging science, who likes challenging problems and enjoys collaborating closely with colleagues to find solutions.
- A PhD in Physics, Engineering, or a related area, with a track record of independent research in as evidenced by publications in peer-reviewed journals and conferences.
- Evidence of experience that is relevant to precision instrumentation and imaging science research in: optical coherence tomography or related areas.
- The demonstrated ability to work as part of a team, contributing to team management and meeting deadlines for project elements.
