**The Venue**

**Poetica Bar and Grill**, located in the heart of North Sydney, is an elevated yet approachable restaurant and bar celebrating the craft of open-flame grilling and a carefully curated beverage program. With a focus on premium Australian produce, timeless service, and bold wines and cocktails, Poetica is a venue where attention to detail meets warm, refined hospitality.

**Role Purpose**

As **Bar Manager**, you’ll lead the day-to-day operations of Poetica’s bar, mentor the team, and help craft exceptional beverage experiences. You’ll be responsible for maintaining high product standards, efficient service, and a bar program that enhances the dining experience and the venue’s identity.

**The Role**
- Manage bar operations across opening, service, and closing
- Lead and train Assistant Bar Manager and junior bar staff
- Drive performance through team motivation, clear communication, and training
- Collaborate with the kitchen to develop beverage pairings that complement the menu
- Maintain impeccable standards of cleanliness and presentation behind the bar
- Co-ordinate stock control and ordering with the Cellar Manager
- Uphold Etymon service standards in all guest interactions
- Ensure all POS and transaction procedures are followed and issues resolved promptly
- Maintain a consistent presence during service and lead by example
- Be actively involved in the evolution of the beverage list, product selection, and new offerings
- Support broader venue operations as part of the Poetica leadership team
