We are currently looking for a Trade Desk Manager to join their growing team in Sydney This is a multi-faceted position wherein you will be responsible for the day to day management and leadership of the Australian Trade Desk function. You will ensure that the market is operational while also maintaining a fair and orderly market through monitoring and engaging with trading participants in relation to trading matters under the operating rules.

As Trade Desk Manager, you will have a strong knowledge of the investment banking industry, with excellent communication skills, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail. You are a hard worker and have experience working in a busy, fast paced, and dynamic environment.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**

Within this role, you will be responsible for a broad range of tasks, these can include:

- Leadership & Management of the Australian Trade Desk function
- Ensuring all daily operational procedures are followed such as daily checklists, report generation and daily system jobs are run.
- Assist in building/producing ad-hoc reports using in house business intelligence tool.
- Communicate product support on specifications, session times, swaps, holidays, and margin rates.
- Act as an SME on trading system enhancements. This may include writing / reviewing requirements assisting in acceptance testing.
- Preparing various trade reports and processing comprehensive data analysis.
- Assisting in generating all sorts of trade-related statistics.
- Maintaining strong market presence by continuously expanding and improving company’s product offering.

**Job Requirements**
- 5+ years of relevant experience or at senior levels in an operations, or client service capacity within an investment banking market or exchange based environment and / or financial markets industry
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of the Australian Financial Market is essential
- An understanding of market rules, operating rules and procedures
- Broad IT skills including a working knowledge of common trading platforms and technologies
- Experience dealing with front office traders, brokers, regulators (ASIC), clearing houses, vendors and exchanges (ASX)
