**The Position**:
We’re looking for In Home Family & Youth Support Workers across Brisbane, Ipswich & Gold Coast QLD supporting children, young people and families within the family home. Working with our community service partner, this is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact and empower people to maximise independence, provide parent coaching, provide education, information, and practical assistance to families, provide a holistic response to the needs of each individual in the family and the family as a unit. While it is a casual role, there may be future opportunities to transition into a permanent role if you prove to be a great fit and love the role.

**Job Requirements**
- Demonstrated experience as a youth worker supporting young people within their family context and/or supporting families to meet the needs of their children
- Have knowledge of trauma and how it affects the development and behaviours of young people
- Hold a minimum **Certificate IV in Youth Work or Cert IV in Child, Youth & Family Intervention** or relevant qualification
- Able to work a variety of shifts day and evening
- Hold a current First Aid Certificate HLTAID003 (within the past 3 years)
- Hold a current CPR Certificate HLTAID001 (within 1 year)
- Hold a current Drivers Licence and your own reliable vehicle
- Hold a current Blue Card or willing to obtain
- Motor vehicle registration and insurance for business use.
- Roadworthy certificate for motor vehicle.

**Responsibilities**:
You will be responsible for providing physical care, recreation, teach daily living skills, educate and create a positive and safe living environment within a family’s home environment.

**Desirable**:

- Hope and Healing Certificate
- Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) trained
- Youth Mental Health First Aid
- Ability to work independently supporting the family and young people.
- An understanding of trauma and attachment theories and the resulting behaviours likely to be demonstrated by our young people
