**About the Role**
We have an exciting opportunity for a **SHEQ Advisor** to provide support and guidance on Safety, Health & Environmental requirements to the business whilst working in a team environment that supports the Ventia values.
Reporting to the State SHEQ Manager this position has primary responsibility to support, monitor and manage the efficient and effective management of hazard identification and incident management.
This is a permanent full-time position based in Kingsgrove with the flexibility to work from home.

**What you’ll be doing**
- Conduct plant risk assessments as required
- Ensure all plant data is available on appropriate data bases
- Monitor adherence to Ventia and client site requirements
- Assist operations in the implementation, review & monitoring of permits for high risk activities
- Check individual project compliance on-site
- Monitor adherence to documentation used and provide support in using and finding documents
- Conduct engaging & interactive toolbox talks encouraging consultation and active participation
- Facilitate completion of initial incident report capturing as much detail as possible
- Manage incidents in accordance with Ventia / client requirements.
- Conduct site checks of contractor training, competency and licencing requirements
- Conduct site-based inspections and audits
- Partner with and mentor operational staff during HSE site inspections and audits
- Report all workplace related injuries to relevant Injury Management advisor
**About you**
- Qualifications in WHS/OHS (Certificate IV or Diploma)
- Knowledge of regulatory guidelines governing Occupational Health and Safety within a heavy industry, services, or construction environment
- Demonstrated exposure to a multi-disciplined construction projects as a SHEQ Advisor or similar
- Experience in a safety or relevant industry role
- telecommunications experience desirable
- Proficient in using MS Office
- Willing to do some site visits for about 3 days a week, and once a month overnight trips within Greater Sydney, Canberra and some Regional NSW areas
