Graduate Financial Analyst

**The Role**:
We are looking for a motivated graduate financial analyst to join our Brisbane CBD Support Office on a permanent full-time basis. Working under the supervision of the Senior Financial Analyst, this role is responsible for the development and maintenance of various financial and analytical models providing financial analysis and reports to the wider Finance Team, Business Operations and Other business stakeholders.

This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can handle large volumes of data with accuracy and precision. They will be involved in various aspects of financial analysis, including monthly reporting (both internal and external), assisting with budgets and forecast, financial modelling, and performance analysis.

A key focus of the role is to also help to develop and enhance ad hoc reporting and deliver improvements to the overall level of financial analysis performed by the finance team.

**Key Responsibilities Include**:

- Focus on improving the current financial information and reporting tools, providing relevant and timely financial models and reports to the various business stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain an understanding of key business drivers and assist in developing opportunities to improve group performance via improved reporting.
- Support reporting team to meet end of month timelines, including the preparation of a variety of business reports.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of budgets and financial forecasts and support the preparation of rolling forecasts and long-term financial plans.
- Assist in the evaluation of potential investment opportunities and new property acquisitions in the self-storage industry.

**About You**:

- Degree qualified, with experience in financial modelling, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Advanced knowledge in Excel and financial modelling concepts, including ability to extract key business trends / information from large data sets, and automate existing reporting.
- Previous exposure to Power BI reporting tools is preferable, including ability to build new dashboards / reports and modify existing reporting.
- Excellent communication skills across different departments and with stakeholders. The ability to tailor information in an appropriate and sufficiently clear manner.
- Process driven with the ability to quickly understand, amend and improve existing processes both by incremental improvement and implementation of new systems.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Proactive and be an agent for change, be able to identify errors, constantly seek and identify improvements to processes / procedures / reports.
- Action and output oriented, identify and develop improvement opportunities and take pre-emptory action against potential problems and issues.
- Ability to work as part of a team and across multiple business departments.
