Northern Rivers In Home Care is a not for profit In Home Care Child Care Service servicing the Northern Rivers area and Gold Coast. We are currently seeking an Educator in Kingscliff for a complex family.

**Overview of family**

Parents works full time for a family owned business, they can work until 10pm or on weekends. Mum is looking to return to work part time or re-open her business with which she put aside due to their child's medical condition. Both children have a rare type of neurological calcium channelopathy that leaves them with a range of episodic and intermittent neurological symptoms including; light + sound sensitivity, periodic paralysis of the limbs, seizure type episodes, unconscious episodes of up to 5 minutes, walking difficulties, memory loss, muscle twitches and severe pain. **Hours and days required**:
9.30am to 2.30pm

Tuesday and Wednesday

**Start date**:
ASAP

**Hourly rate**:
$35 per hour (negotiable) inclusive of Superannuation

**Qualifications and Criteria required**:

- _**Certificate III in Children’s Services or higher**_
- _**Hold a current First Aid and CPR Certificate**_
- _**WWCC and Police Clearance**_
- _**Liability insurance (once successfully placed with a family approx. $43.00 per month)**_
- _**Medical Clearance**_
- _**Child Protection (refresher required every 2 years)**_
- _**ABN**_
- _**Photo ID**_
- _**PRODA RA (the office will assist you with this)**_
- _You are not able to take your own children to any of our In Home Care Positions as per the In Home Care Guidelines_

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: $32.00 per hour

- Evening shift
- Flexible hours

**Experience**:

- Working with children with complex needs: 4 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Cert III In Early Childhood (preferred)
- First Aid and CPR (preferred)
- Working with Children Check (preferred)
- Police Clearance (preferred)
- Current Child Protection (preferred)
- ABN (preferred)
- Medical Clearance (preferred)
