About the Opportunity:
An opportunity for a People and Capability Advisor position is available for a quick start with us as a part of the Prisoner Transport Contract (SAPMICM). This role is being offered as part-time, up to four days a week. The successful applicant will be based at our Cavan office with opportunities to visit our other contract related sites.
This opportunity will see you responsible for the delivery of operational support to the business. You will collaborate with the People and Capability Manager to provide advice and services supporting the day-to day management of our mobile workforce.
Key responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
- Partner with business leaders to identify and deliver P&C initiatives that support the contract operational objectives.
- Provide the management team information to facilitate effective, consistent, empowering leadership - expecting and enabling leaders to assume increasing responsibility for all aspects of people leadership.
- Work with the contract providing advice to promote new ways of working that meet the requirements of the Contract and maximise opportunities.
- Support local management in the management and resolution of employee relations issues. Ensuring effective and fit-for-purpose investigations are undertaken.
- Maintain a working knowledge of the legal requirements of day-to-day employee management. Partnering with ER/IR Management as required.
- Participate in Enterprise Bargaining.
Education and Experience:
- Demonstrated understanding of industrial landscape.
- Demonstrated ability to understand client needs and offer pragmatic solutions.
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced contract delivery environment.
- Requires a cleaned Police Check.
