The Opportunity
This is an exciting time to join Alstom as we begin our journey of migrating across to SAP (GSI) to manage our operation. Reporting to the Finance Project Manager, we have several positions available where you will play a critical role in helping to cleanse and migrate data across to the new SAP (GSI) environment. This position will ideally be based at our depot in Dandenong with flexible working options, however other locations will be considered. You will initially be engaged an 18 month contract, but there may be opportunities to extend and potentially be considered for permanent positions. Your responsibilities will include;
- Analysing existing data currently within several systems
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to determine which data is relevant
- Cleansing data that is redundant
- Updating existing Excel reports and changing their data source from Maximo to SAP
- Building/using macro's in excel to transpose the data into the required format
- Proactively communicate with and collaborate with various stakeholders in development/evolving reports
- Migrating data across to SAP (GSI)
- Assisting in supporting the migration and training end users

About You
We are seeking an experienced and driven Data Analyst with who has the ability to manage and cleanse large data sets. You will also have;
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability understand and interpret data
- A passion for data and a drive to continuously improve data accuracy
- Experience using SAP, ideally within Finance
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and general IT aptitude
- Exposure to heavy industry is preferred but not essential
- Exposure to manufacturing and/or heavy industry is preferred, but not essential
