**Position Information**:
Bexley Public School is situated in the Beverly Hills Network, the traditional land of the Gweagal, Bidjigal and Gadigal Clans.Our school supports 256 wonderfully diverse students, and we nurture a sense of belonging and participation, where all levels of success are encouraged and celebrated.

Students come from diverse cultural and religious backgrounds with over 86% of students from language backgrounds other than English (LBOTE). The school currently has a strong learning and support program in place.

A culture of ongoing improvement and a focus on quality professional learning in evidence-based explicit teaching, data informed planning, enrichment, coteaching and innovation drive best practice.

The library is an integral part of the school culture, fostering a love of reading and highlighting the importance of good quality literature. The library is part of all class programming with class teachers and the librarian working collaboratively to support the literacy development of all students.

**Selection Criteria**:
Approval to teach (primary) library or currently undertaking or currently enrolled in Teacher Librarian qualifications approved by the NSW Department of Education (Refer special notes below).
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with colleagues to deliver explicit, innovative teaching across different KLAs whilst promoting critical and creative thinking, digital literacy, and a love of literature.
- Capacity to manage and implement a stimulating library learning environment, encompassing the physical space and resources of the library, including the Oliver Library Management System.
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to build positive and effective relationships with students, staff, parents, and the wider community.

If applicable engagement will be temporary until successful completion of the Teacher Librarian qualifications as recognised by the NSW Department of Education, which must be completed within 24 months.

This is a permanent part-time position for 3 days per week 0.6 FTE (Full-time equivalent).
