**About the centre**

Casey RACE is the premier Health and Fitness Facility in City of Casey. The centre houses a Health Club, 2 Group Fitness Rooms, a creche, Indoor 50m Pool, Indoor Warm Water Pool, Spa/Sauna/Steam Room, 2 large Water Slides and on site Café. RACE on average has 3500+ members and 2400 Swim Lessons students. The centre receives over 1 million visits annually.

**About the role**

As an Operations Coordinator, you will have delegated authority of the Centre Team Leader. As well as identifying potential risk factors and taking steps to reduce those risks, Operations Coordinator’s will act as positive role models in an effort to build strong people, strong families and strong communities within the facilities that we manage. Operations Coordinators will maintain a broad knowledge of centre programs and services whilst at the same time managing the following functions whilst on shift; customer service, safety, staff rosters and breaks, kiosk, plant operations, cash balancing, customer education and general maintenance and cleaning. This role is 38 hours per week.

This is a Full Time position, with a salary from $57k - $63k per annum + Superannuation.

**About you**

You will an experienced leader, ideally with a background in aquatics. You will need basic knowledge and experience of water chemistry and pool plant operations, as well as an understanding of the Guidelines for Safe Pool Operations. Aquatic Supervision will be a large focus of the role to ensure high levels of consistent supervision.

As the Operations Coordinator you will be highly visible within the centre and also within the local community, forming strong relationships and partnerships that add value to the business operations and ensure services meet the needs of our customer and communities.

- Think creatively with a proactive and solution focused approach
- Be approachable and personable, with a customer focused approach to your work
- Strong communication and training skills will be required to roll out new and modified procedures

**Essential Qualifications**
- First Aid certificate
- CPR certificate
- Pool Lifeguard Skill Set
- Swim Teacher accreditation (or willingness to obtain - funding may be available)

**Other Desired Qualifications**
- Leadership experience
- Relevant diploma or equivalent
- Sport and Recreation and / or Facility Operations experience
- SISSS00110 -Aquatic Technical Operator Skill Set
- PUAFER005 -Operate as Part of an Emergency Control Organisation (Fire Warden Certificate)
- Proven skills and knowledge in aquatic facility operation
- Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety Legislation is highly advantageous
