**About the Role**

We’re excited to offer a newly created opportunity for a **Health & Safety Business Partner** to join our team. This role works under our National Safety Manager and is ideal for someone who thrives on coaching and mentoring teams, driving proactive safety behaviours, and influencing positive change across diverse environments.

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Enable & Coach -** Mentor site and project teams to build confidence and capability in identifying risks, solving problems, and driving proactive safety behaviours.
- **Partner & Embed** - Support the effective implementation of our ISO-certified HSEQ Management System and ensure practices are lived consistently across projects.
- **Investigate & Improve -** Lead incident investigations, audits, and inspections, ensuring lessons are captured, corrective actions are effective, and improvements are embedded.
- **Advise & Influence -** Provide practical and timely WHS and environmental advice, balancing compliance with pragmatic solutions that support project delivery.
- **Rehabilitation & Wellbeing -** Support Return to Work and rehabilitation processes, ensuring employees are supported with empathy and compliance.
- **Collaborate & Engage -** Build strong stakeholder relationships, fostering a culture of shared accountability for safety and wellbeing.
- Frequent travel within Melbourne metro area, occasional interstate travel

**Skills & Experience**
- Tertiary qualification in OHS / WHS or Environmental discipline (Cert IV, Diploma, or Degree).
- Strong knowledge of ISO 45001 (and ISO 14001) standards, with experience in system implementation and maintenance.
- Proven experience in auditing and investigations; Lead Auditor qualification highly regarded. Root Cause Analysis accreditation (ICAM, TapRoot) also desirable.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage, coach, and challenge constructively.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with a proactive, empathetic approach.
- Team player who thrives in collaborative, fast-paced construction environments.
- Experience in construction, aged care, or government projects highly desirable.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $96,000.00 per year
