Teacher - Information Communication Systems (Defence)

**About the role**:
An exciting opportunity to work at and for one of Box Hill Institute’s commercial partnerships, ADP (Australian Defence Force) as an Information Communication Systems Teacher. In this role, you will provide high quality teaching delivery, along with innovative content and educational continuous improvement initiatives to Defence Force School of Signals (DFSS) students.

Located on an ADP site, Simpsons Barracks Watsonia, this Teaching role is a full-time, fixed term opportunity, reporting to the Education & Training Support Manager - Defence and is responsible for liaising with students, Defence personnel, relevant industry groups, community services providers, overseas partners and employees of BHI at all levels.

In this role, it is expected that you:

- Support student success in Information Communication Systems (CST) courses and thereby improve their employment and/or educational pathways.
- Ensure BHI compliance requirements are met.
- Assimilate to the specific educational environment - standards, conduct and expectations (Defence)
- Deliver scheduled teaching requirements

**Applicants must be an Australian Citizen and currently hold or be able to obtain a NV1 Level Defence Security Clearance.**

**About You**:

- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116/22) or a qualification at diploma level or higher in Adult Education
- Relevant industry qualifications and experience in any of the following:

- _CISCO Academy IT Essentials_
- _ _Cisco Networking Academy Certifications (CCIE/CCNP/CCNA/CME/CICD)_
- _ _CompTIA (ITF+, A+ & Security+)_
- _ _Microsoft Certifications (MCT/MCSE/MCSA/MCP)_
- _ _Expert Knowledge in Windows Server is preferred in the following areas: SCCM, PowerShell, Skype for Business, SharePoint, Microsoft Exchange, Hyper-V, SQL Database, Hybrid Cloud and Datacenter_
- Experience with student management systems for attendance tracking, retrieval of student details where required, and resulting
- Demonstrated ability to design and deliver logical, succinct, up-to-date and engaging course materials and lessons. Demonstrated proficiency in using learning management systems (i.e. Moodle) to create innovative and engaging learning experiences for students
- High level awareness of, and responsiveness to, people from a broad range of diverse backgrounds and emotional contexts
- Relevant industry qualifications and an AQF 5 or higher vocational qualification (desirable)
