**The Role**

In this full time role, you will be predominantly based at our Milperra or Belmore branches and some travel around NSW throughout the year will be required.

Your main responsibilities will be to assist the National Manager, WHSE to manage and drive all workplace health and safety matters for your portfolio of branches, as well as working closely with him and the wider HWS team on national WHS related matters.

**Your responsibilities will include**:

- overseeing WHS issues within the region and coordinating health and safety systems & processes
- ensuring branch compliance with WHS legislation, regulations and reporting
- completing risk assessments, safe work instructions, safety audits and reports
- conducting WHS training and maintaining Branch Training Matrixes
- ensuring WHS Inductions are completed for site visitors
- implementing and reinforcing WHS policies and procedures
- reporting and analysing WHS related activities for the WHS Committee/s
- assisting National Manager, WHSE in the development of WHS systems including policies, procedures and manuals
- establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with employees, managers and other key stakeholders

**Who are we looking for?**
- minimum 12 months' experience in a similar role
- cert IV in WH&S (desirable)
- strong understanding of workplace health & safety requirements
- strong oral and written communication skills
- strong relationship building skills
- excellent MS Office skills (Outlook, Word and Excel)
- self-motivated and flexible
- willingness to work from different locations
- organisational skills, with strong attention to detail
- valid drivers' licence, forklift license is also highly desirable
