Machine Operator

We are in search of a skilled and resourceful **Machine Operator - FOOD** to set up, maintain and operate machinery on one of our production lines. You must ensure the efficiency of production and conditions of our machines.

**A leading manufacturer and restaurateur **in the food industry is expanding and requires you to help grow and in turn grow your career within.

You will support the day-to-day operation of the process through food preparation and its organisation within the area.

**Your key duties and responsibilities will be, but not limited to**:

- Set up and run machines to ensure production output in accordance with the production plan and company KPI’s
- Adjust machine speeds, and settings according to standards set by the Company and Manufacturer
- Monitor and record downtime events on each line relating to machine problems
- Liaise with Management and Maintenance regarding functioning of all machines
- Assist in switch overs and machine film, labels and line supplies replenishment
- Conduct basic pre-operational checks and shut-downs when needed
- Assist maintenance personnel in preventative maintenance and minor repairs
- Maintain cleanliness of machines in accordance with the companies’ procedures and policies

**Skillset and Experience**
- Ability to work **either or both** AM & PM roster preferred but not essential (6am to 2pm & 2pm to 10pm)
- Solid technical aptitude and attention to detail is a MUST
- Proven Safety-First attitude
- Knowledge of **GMP **and **HACCP **or other Food Safety protocols.
- Post-secondary education or courses
- Technical Certification or Technical training
- Attention to detail
- Teamwork and communication skills
- Analytical skills **Food manufacturing experience**:

- Previous experience working with bakery equipment would be preferred but not essential.
