Brisbane Private Hospital seeking an evening Housekeeping Supervisor to join our friendly and supportive team on a permanent part time basis. You will take pride in your work, have a friendly and positive work attitude and an interest to achieve high standards of customer satisfaction.

Shift times for this role are: PM - 1900-0300am across Monday to Friday.

Brisbane Private Hospital also delivers a leading private drug and alcohol program, Damascus Health Services, from its dedicated drug and alcohol rehabilitation unit.

**As a Housekeep Supervisor, your responsibilities will include**:

- Ensure staff provide excellent customer service, employ safe work practices and manual handling techniques as well as identifying and reporting hazards
- Possesses general knowledge in cleaning duties, material Safety data Sheets, their use and importance, occupational Safety and Health Regulations, infection control standards.
- Performs specific cleaning and restocking, ensures a high standard of cleanliness is maintained throughout the hospital
- Conducts audits in various areas and Provide training to new staff
- Ensures waste management procedure are followed and advice Housekeeping Manger
- Communicate with your department manager about roster changes.
- Ensures labour hours are within budget
- Coordinate daily operational activities and preparation of task lists and work schedules for PM team
- Motivate, support and train team, provide daily hands on support to team
- Ensure hospital equipment is well kept and clean to meet infection control requirements, audited for review, and new parts or replacements ordered when required. Preventative maintenance scheduling and accountability when maintenance is required

**Essential Criteria**:

- Previous supervisory experience within the healthcare or hospitality industry
- Knowledge of National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards & Work Health and Safety, Infection Prevention and Control standards, Waste management
- Proven experience developing high performing teams with a service excellence approach
- Passionate about building strong relationships and delivering exceptional customer service
- Impeccable attention to detail
- Strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
- Ensures a hands on approach is maintained by working alongside staff in the team
- Competent computer skills
