We’re looking for Vacation Care Educators; anyone with a children’s services qualification (or would be willing to work towards one) who is passionate about helping children growand may be a kid-at-heart themselves
Being an educator holds a lot of flexibility to prioritise study or family needs, and at the Y, you might just discover a family of your own - we have a supportive on the ground and at head office.
We can also provide you with ongoing employment with one of 50+ Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) services close to your home
**What being an OSHC Educator Entails**
OSHC educators care for children before school, after school and during school holiday periods. Highlights include running fascinating, fun-filled and educational activities with primary school children - such as science experiments, outdoor games and painting.
As an OSHC Educator you will:
- hold a rewarding, challenging and interesting position;
- be able to allocate your availability to suit study or family needs;
- have the opportunity for career advancement;
- join a team of dedicated staff and fantastic children and families;
- be eligible for staff incentives and discounts; and
- be provided with regular professional development and training.
**Your workspace at the Y**
YMCA Victoria Point Vacation Care is situated at our YMCA Victoria Point Fitness and Recreation Centre. Vacation Care Service is offered between the hours of 6:30am and 6pm during school holiday.
Our service philosophy prioritises community and belonging, children’s agency and the importance of spontaneous, multi-age play in middle childhood. We offer a range of planned and spontaneous play experiences for children and welcome educators with unique skill sets to share with children.

**To be successful you must have**:
- A Certificate or Diploma qualification in Children Services or equivalent or if you are studying towards a relevant qualification
- A Fantastic sense of fun & a tremendous imagination
- Hold or are willing to obtain a current First Aid and CPR certification
- Current Blue Card or willing to obtain one
