**What is in it for you?**

In this role, you will work as part of a team of senior analysts and consultants to deliver innovative investment and / or actuarial advice to large institutional clients, including superannuation funds, insurance companies, endowments and foundations.

**In this role you will be responsible for**:

- Preparing investment reports including assessment of the performance of markets, investment managers and client portfolios.
- Supporting Consultants to undertake research and deliver client projects, using Mercer’s proprietary tools and models to complete data analytics and draft reports and presentations as required.
- Preparing actuarial modelling and valuations such as projections and experience studies. For example, financial position updates and benefit projections for defined benefit superannuation funds, drafting actuarial certificates, long service leave valuations, fund wind ups and crediting rates calculations.
- Monitoring and reporting on local and international regulatory and/or accounting standards
- Dealing with ad hoc client requests and queries.

**We would like you to have**:

- Be graduating at the end of 2020 or have 1-2 years of post-graduation experience
- Have a strong academic record and have completed, or are studying towards a tertiary qualification with a strong numerical/analytical focus
- Looking to pursue an Actuarial or Finance professional qualification
- Able to build strong relationships and work collaboratively with clients and colleagues of all levels
- Be analytical, able to think logically and solve problems
- Demonstrate curiosity to learn, think critically and ask questions in order to identify process improvements
- Ability to multi-task, prioritise and manage time effectively
- Be organised, articulate and have strong written and verbal communication skills
- Have an understanding of and interest in investment markets and products
- Experience working in a customer service related role is a plus
- Investment modelling and/or programming skills will also be highly regarded
