The Australian National Maritime Museum (ANMM) are seeking a highly energised, vibrant, and dynamic leader to join our team as the Head of Corporate and Community Partnerships Reporting to the Deputy Director, the Head of Corporate & Community Partnerships is a key member of the team who will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to implement the Museum’s partnership strategy, drive the acquisition of new corporate sponsors and ensure existing partners are retained.

**High level overview of responsibilities**:

- Implement long-term and project-based partnership and business development strategies to meet the Museum’s goals for cash and in-kind sponsorship, strategic partnerships, media partnerships and community partnerships and to attract and retain those partners.
- Lead day to day account management of partner relationships and take the lead in managing a selection of current partner agreements.
- Engage in new business development research, database management, communication files, and develop sponsorship/ partnership proposals and pitches.
- Work with the team to identify touch points for partner engagement with museum executive and Board.
- Manage benefit delivery, tracking of benefits and support partners to leverage all available to them via their agreement.

**Selection criteria**:

- Minimum of 8 years experience in business development, partnership/ sponsorship, preferably within arts/ cultural context, with a successful track record in the delivery of partnership benefits and events.
- Proven excellence in delivering complex events and project management working to tight deadlines.
- In-depth understanding of a national museum, its role and significance.
