**About us**:
Patricks Road State School is a flourishing school community situated 16kms to the North West of Brisbane's CBD. The school is nestled in an adjoining conservation park with magnificent flora and fauna at our door step. We are co-educational and cater for the educational needs of approximately 800 children from Prep to year 6.

**About the Role**:
As the School Technical Officer your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

- Assist in managing the operation of the school ICT network services in order to contribute to the enhancement of learning opportunities.
- Provide advice and assistance on maximising the potential of ICT operations within the school including acquisition, installation, operation, maintenance, repair and replacement.
- Support the school community with technical advice, instruction and assistance with electronic equipment, in accordance with departmental, school and manufacturer's policy, guidelines and network standards.

**About You**: It would be beneficial for the suitable applicant to have the following skills and knowledge:

- Technical knowledge of server hardware and configuration and networking peripherals.
- A high or good level understanding of PC desktop and laptop system, Apple iPads and printer support.
- Experience with the use of inTune as part of the Department's BYOx link service.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A strong client focus.
- Understanding of Local Area Networks and Wide Area Networks.

**Mandatory Requirements**:

- When working in regulated employment an employee must have a current Working with Children Clearance (blue card) issued by Blue Card Services.
- The successful applicant will be required to attain the DoE Orange Card School Administrator (OC SA) certification to access the school network enabling the officer to perform high level support tasks including server technologies. The content of the course contains aspects of supporting the DoE Managed Operating Environment (MOE) as well as Government legislation. This course is only available within the DoE network.
