**The role**

We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Gardener to join our Property & Maintenance team

This is a full time, ongoing position and is suited to someone able to demonstrate gardening and horticultural skills.

**Ideally, the successful applicant will have the following attributes**:

- Hold a Certificate III in Horticulture or equivalent
- Experience in a similar role in horticulture and grounds maintenance is advantageous
- Familiarity with irrigation systems and landscaping experience would be advantageous
- Experience and knowledge in implementing and maintaining required health and safety standards, including the safe and proper storage of chemicals and containers as required
- Physical ability to lift and manipulate equipment and perform manual work
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and interact with both adults and students
- Ability to work independently but also as part of a dynamic and collaborative team
- Show a strong community and service ethic and commitment to delivering exceptional service
- Demonstrate an understanding of and a commitment to following the School’s child safety expectations, principles and policies
- Must have a current National Police Check (obtained within the last 6 months) or be willing to obtain prior to commencement
- Have a current Working with Children Check (Employee) or be willing to obtain
