**Responsibilities**:
1. Evaluating Items: Accurately assess the value of various items, such as jewelry, electronics, and precious metals, to determine their worth for loans or purchase.
2. Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by assisting clients with pawn loans, buybacks, and sales, ensuring all transactions are handled professionally and respectfully.
3. Loan Management: Process and manage pawn loans, including calculating loan amounts, interest rates, and repayment terms, and maintaining accurate records of all transactions.
4. Cleaning and Maintenance: Keep the store clean and organized, ensuring that items are displayed attractively and that the store environment is welcoming to customers.
5. Dispute Resolution: Handle customer complaints or disputes professionally, working to resolve issues in a manner that maintains customer relationships and upholds the store's reputation.
**Requirements**:
1. Customer Service Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills are necessary to provide excellent customer service, handle negotiations, and manage customer inquiries or disputes.
2. Attention to Detail: Precision in evaluating items, processing transactions, and maintaining accurate records is critical to ensure compliance with legal requirements and company policies.
3. Integrity and Trustworthiness: Since the role involves handling valuable items and significant sums of money, a high level of integrity and trustworthiness is required
4. Ability to Work Independently: The ability to work independently and make sound decisions is important, especially in a smaller pawn shop setting.
5. Professionalism: A professional demeanour, including a neat appearance and respectful communication, is important in maintaining the store’s reputation.
6. Willingness to Learn: An openness to ongoing training, particularly in areas like item valuation and legal compliance, is often required.
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
