**Job Description**:
As the Head of Government Sales you will be responsible for the leadership and development of our government verticals at both Federal and State levels.

Bringing your strong experience and ties to the Australian Government community, you’ll have a deep understanding of the buying cycles, intra-Government relationships and a solid network of clients and partners.

Being successful in this role will ensure NEXTDC is well positioned to win deals now, and in the future. We’d like to see your:

- Proven ability to influence, develop and empower team members to achieve objectives with a team selling approach
- Aptitude to sell at senior levels, managing complex transformational deals
- Outstanding relationship building skills with the ability to influence multiple stakeholders at various levels
- Curious and tenacious with the ability to find new opportunities and extend the value of accounts and relationships
- Resolute focus on results - pipeline generation, revenue and profit with the ability to lead and inspire others in your ecosystem

**Qualifications**:

- Extensive experience of the Public Sector, selling through partners or directly, with relationships and focus on the public sector in Australia
- Deep understanding of the Government procurement process at the federal and state level
- Solid selling experience to organisations that utilise IT Infrastructure as a major component of their business model
- Experience within industries that deal with Information Technology, Software, Hardware, Solutions and associated Services with a demonstrated track record of exceeding goals
- An understanding of the nuances of pathways to market as well as Direct Sales
- Proven track records in selling within a complex selling environment with large commercial and legal negotiations
