**About the Role**

As part of the Marketing & Communications team, the Content Writer is responsible for amplifying Canon Sales & Support Group’s success stories and points of difference in the Australian market, predominately through owned channels. Based on a thorough understanding of the business performance and strategic direction, the Content Writer builds awareness and advocacy for Canon with B2C and B2B audiences by sourcing and developing case studies and content that delivers key messages with clarity and impact. This is a Sydney based hybrid role operating from our Macquarie Park office

**Main Duties**

Maximise opportunities to showcase Consumer Professional stories and B2B customer testimonials:

- Identify opportunities with cross functional teams to develop powerful case studies and customer testimonials - (Includes Professional, Canon Professional Services, SUNSTUDIOS, B2B and Product/Sales Driven stories)
- Take the lead to interview customers/consumers, develop narrative, check facts and identify any sales data requirements
- Source supporting materials and obtain any releases for use of imagery
- Write high-quality materials in both accuracy, tone, content, and appeal to suit the particular purpose, audience and genre of communication.
- When necessary, brief and manage copywriters to develop materials required
- Manage approvals from all stakeholders
- Manage process of uploading content to Canon, partner, or external party websites
- Manage monthly partner channel newsletter

Manage Sales & Support Group’s Content Rooms:

- Perform function of Managing Editor - Content Room to ensure Canon content is amplified across the Business for maximum effectiveness
- Oversee Canon Content publishing model for effective integrated communications to Canon audiences
- Ensure content is planned, created and executed for Canon Newsletters and EDMs by working closely with the cross functional teams

Support Manager of PR:

- Work with PR Manager to identify which case studies have earned editorial potential before publishing on Canon owned channels
- Assist in the development of product launch materials and messaging. Amplify awards, ratings, and credible third-party accolades (incl. published quotes) and manage external approval
process for permission to amply such assets across Canon Retail Marketing, Digital Experience and sales channels

Support Marketing & Communications Team:

- When needs arise, support the wider Marcomms team with content writing such as learn articles and posts for Canon social channels.
- Assist in the Influencer Product Review Program and brief writing including for influencers
- Identify story and case study opportunities with Canon Champions to strengthen the credibility of the program

**About You**

You will be someone who is passionate about connecting with a diverse community of customers and sharing their stories. You will possess superior interpersonal skills that can be effectively communicated within your written content and verbal encounters. Ideally you will have experience in a similar role and you will demonstrate the following:

- Experience (3 years min) with writing for a wide array of formats including website and landing page copy, eDM campaigns, case studies, blog posts and video scripts and social.
- Experience in the writing and editing industry, including feature writing, online content creation, copywriting and editing.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills and proficient time management
- A strong sense of teamwork including the ability to contribute to a positive team environment
- Ability to suggest and identify solutions that can contribute towards solving potential problems that arise during delegated projects
- A qualification in a related field i.e. - communications, journalism or English
- Familiar with keyword placement, SEO and content optimisation would be an advantage
