**YARD HAND**

**Oz Oils is a Used Cooking Oil Management Company in a great location based at Yatala, half way between Gold Coast and Brisbane.**

**We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional customer service by going above and beyond to assist our customers.**

**We are looking for a person who can start as soon as possible for long term employment.**

**Fulltime permanent 38 hours per week & OT if required plus Superannuation.**

**Working days and hours are: Monday-Friday 8.30am-4.30pm**

**The Role**:
**Reporting to the Manager, the Yard Hand's primary focus is to**:

- **Actively participate in the day-to-day activities of OZ OILS focusing on safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency**
- **Complete daily maintenance and cleaning of equipment to assist time of operations**
- **Improve efficiency and reduce operating costs through accountability to standard operating procedures**
- **Promote teamwork to ensure all staff are working to a common goal of exceeding customer expectations**
- **Ensure compliance at all times in the area of Safety**
- **Promote a harmonious environment with a positive can-do approach to servicing the needs of OZ OILS customers above the needs of a single department**
- **Implement and execute directives that support the business strategy**

**In summary, the Yard Hand is a key person in the process of providing high quality product and is responsible for providing quality assurance to the products and operations.**

**Must Have**:

- Forklift licence & forklift experience is a must**
- MR truck licence preferred**
- Open drivers licence**
- Good driving record history with min 2 years**

**Responsibilities & Duties**:

- **Manage small work site**
- **Daily communication between manager and staff**
- **Available to do overtime if required to assist cover other staff on leave**
- **Not afraid to get hands dirty**
- **Wash and clean collection units**
- **Transfer Used Cooking Oil**
- **Forklift operation to load & unload vehicles**
- **Strapping vehicle**
- **Record keeping**
- **Batch, production & dispatch in preparation for regular audits**
- **Maintain cleanliness of working yard**
- **Minor repairs and maintenance on equipment & vehicles**
- **Driving a range of vehicles as needed that a minimum MR licence is preferred**
- **Maintain cleanliness of vehicles**
- **Regular general safety vehicle inspections**

**What you need**:

- **Current MR Truck Licence (preferred)**
- **Current High Risk Forklift Licence**
- **Current First Aid Certificate (preferred)**
- **Steel capped safety boots**
- **Ability to work independently, without supervision and also be part of a team**
- **Attention to detail and diligence for quality of work**
- **Physically fit to be able to work**
- **Good communication skills**
