**About the role
Provide high quality emergency services within the Metro North Hospital and Health Service. Emergency Services at The Prince Charles hospital are provided by the Adult and Children's Emergency Departments, which are adjoining dedicated units functioning together to maximise care delivery
About you
Determine need for patient admission to inpatient areas of the hospital, as well as admission to and discharge from the Department of Emergency Medicine Short Stay Treatment Area (SSTA) and liaise with inpatient services as required.
Participate in and/or lead research into areas relevant to Emergency Medicine and paediatrics.
Assist the Director and Clinical Directors in the day-to-day running of the Department of Emergency Medicine in its provision of services including the management of the human and material resources necessary to provide services within both the Adult and Children's Emergency Departments.
