About the RoleIn addition, it provides professional leadership within Gastroenterology including Interventional Endoscopy, and provide training, education and supervision to junior medical staff and other health care members and contribute to existing or develop own initiatives that aim to improve quality, efficiency or outcomes of services by appropriate quality improvement measures that include research.

**Services provided include**:

- Provision of Emergency Medicine services to patients in accordance with the standards of the discipline and the ethics of the profession.
- Provision of Emergency Medicine for patients that are consistent with the Clinical Services Capability Framework of the relevant facilities within the Health Service
- Provide high quality clinical care directly and indirectly through supervision of staff
- Enable clinical pathways and early discharge procedures.
- Document relevant clinical information clearly, concisely, accurately, and appropriately.
- Ensure appropriate handover of patients, as needed.
- Role model desired standards of behaviour, promoting a positive attitude, enthusiasm, respect and support of other staff, effective communication and ethical decision making.
- Encourage consumer participation in treatment and care aimed at achieving demonstrable improvement in service outcomes.
