**Your Opportunity**

Due to strong growth and an exciting pipeline of projects, Mott MacDonald's Finance Team has an exciting opening for a Management Accountant in the Sydney office. You will be joining a diverse and passionate team with a proven track record delivering major projects across Australia.

You will be responsible for analysing financial data, preparing reports, and providing insights to support decision-making processes. Your expertise will help us optimise our financial performance and achieve our business objectives.

In this role you will have the opportunity to:

- Prepare and interpret monthly management accounts for the Divisions and Markets, highlighting key performance drivers
- Monitor the financial control environment, identifying risks and opportunities, and supporting the local management team in strengthening controls and governance
- Work closely with Group Finance, Regional Finance, Treasury and Tax teams to improve financial delivery to project teams
- Partner with the General Manager and Market Leaders to develop and track business plans, providing financial analysis and advice to inform decision-making
- Support management teams in workforce planning and resource allocation by providing accurate, timely financial inputs
- Facilitate regular finance reviews with senior leaders, helping identify corrective actions or opportunities to improve performance
- Present financial insights and recommendations to non-finance stakeholders in a clear, engaging and action-oriented manner
- Promote a culture of accountability, transparency and continuous improvement

**About You**
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CIMA) preferred.
- Proven experience as a Management Accountant or similar role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
