**Community Support Worker (Full-time/ Part-time and Casual roles)**

**Location: Eastern Suburbs, Sutherland, Inner West and St George**

Just Better Care Eastern Suburb is looking for a Community Support Worker to join our caring and dynamic team. This role involves working with customers to support them in many different aspects of their day-to-day life. The role involves supporting customers in their homes and/or the broader setting. Support is provided in a manner that maintains the customer’s independence, is respectful and safe. Community Support Workers are key members of the customer's overall support team.

**Main responsibility**

Ø Demonstrate a commitment to best practice, ensuring that all services are provided in a caring and respectful way in accordance with Just Better Care’s policy and procedures.

Ø The provision of individualised services to customers in accordance with their support plans.

Ø Monitoring the wellbeing of customers and informing the Coordinator or Package Manager of any concerns or changes.

Ø Provides and delivers individual and personalised support and resources to customers, so that they may continue to live in their homes.

Ø Working under the guidance and supervision of medical professionals, monitoring and communicating customer’s condition to the Coordinator and/or Package Manager, transportation, light domestic duties and other health and wellness related activities.

Ø Ensuring that Just Better Care or customer property is kept secure against loss, theft or damage and is properly maintained at all times.

Ø Attending and participating in staff meetings and training sessions as directed by the Coordinator.

Ø Ensuring that all responsible steps are taken to protect personal safety at work and avoid adversely affecting the health or safety of any other person at the workplace in accordance with requirements under the Work Health and Safety legalisation.

Ø Participating in performance reviews.

Ø Participating in activities aimed at the continuous improvement of services.

Ø Complying with Just Better Care’s Vision, Values, and Purpose

**What you will need**:
Ø Minimum Certificate III in relevant field.

Ø Atleast 1 years’ work experience as Support Worker.

Ø NDIS Workers Check or Police Clearance

Ø **Current Local Driver’s Licence** - International DL’s are acceptable while on a visa including a mode of transport to travel to the required worksites

Ø Current First Aid and CPR certificates

Ø Ability or willingness to assist or work with customer in daily living and personal care skills

Ø Be reliable & productive

Ø Valuing attitudes towards customers

Ø Ability to work as part of a Team and maintain good working relationships

Ø Commitment to self-improvement

Ø Good written and verbal skills in English

Salary Range: $70,000 till 75,000
