**About the role

Fixed term temporary full time opportunity to manage the safe and efficient use of the Loading Dock for the delivery and despatch of the full range of items required to support the operational functions of the RBWH including clinical and non-clinical goods and supplies, waste, food, medical gases, biomedical services, patient support services and linen services.

About you

Maintain and ensure a high level of security for the Loading Dock area.
Management of traffic in the Loading Dock area. Allocate parking areas for authorised vehicles in the Loading Dock area and allocate short term parking for courier vehicles while deliveries are being carried out.
Manage loading dock receiving areas and egress pathways ensuring that best practice, ergonomic efficiency, safety, and compliance with infection control protocols are consistently adhered to.
Conduct regular safety audits within the loading dock area to identify and rectify hazards and ensure compliance to all safety requirements.
Liaise and negotiate with contractors to schedule and coordinate safe and timely movement of materials and equipment and other items through the dock for the purpose of completing maintenance requirements.
