Easy Authoring is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Specialist to develop new solution and technical patterns to support improved productivity, quality, security.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Develop new solution and technical patterns to support improved productivity, quality, security and time to deliver.
- Design and deliver necessary organizational change activities to support transition to new solution and operating model.
- Implement the necessary enterprise ICT changes to allow for the adoption of the new solution and technical patterns.
- Migrate existing workloads to new solution and technical patterns.
- performing administration, maintenance, and support tasks.
- proactively monitoring critical ICT services.
- performance and platform tuning.
- troubleshooting and problem solving.
- Provide strong technical support capability, ensuring requests align with set standards and procedures, and meet agreed service levels, with the capability to develop and improve operating procedures where necessary.
- Contribute to developing strategic and operational responses to emerging needs and dealing with complex requests in a collaborative approach with ICT operations representatives, ICT Service Transition Managers (Change and Release) and other process managers.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of standardised processes, approaches, documented procedures, and other related technical documentation.
- Provide advanced skills in the areas of operational responses to emerging needs, fault diagnosis and failures, and proactively initiate remedial action.
- Provide appropriate information on incident reviews and statistical reports within the environment which can be consumed by team leaders, management, and other departmental staff. (SFIA Level 4 - ITOP)

**Essential criteria**:

- Server management (backups, monitoring and tuning performance, firmware maintenance, installation and racking and cabling)
- Manage and coordinate, project activities involving installation, expansion or upgrades of the department’s infrastructure, systems and services.
- VMware - vCenter, vRealize Suite
- Hypervisor - ESXi, Hyper-V
- Scripting - Powershell, VMware PowerCLI
- HPE Compute - Synergy (Blade enclosures), OneView, ProLiant
- HPE Storage - Alletra, 3par, StoreOnce
- Storage networking - Brocade FOS configuration and Zoning
- High Availability - Windows Failover Clustering
- Connectivity - Virtual networking (VMware), Ethernet, Fibre Channel, iSCSI, Converged Networks
- Evaluation of new technologies
- ITIL - Change, Release, Incident
- DNS - BIND, Windows DNS
- Monitoring - SNMP, SCOM, Dynatrace PRTG.
