**Your new role**

You will oversee the production department for this parts manufacturer managing approximately twelve staff with the direct support from your General Manager and working closely with the Production Scheduler. As the Factory Supervisor your job is pivotal in supporting the efficient operations and ensure day to day production runs smoothly and to schedule. Your duties will include but not limited to:

- Drive and encourage a process orientated production department
- Ensure that the production team meet all deadlines and production targets working closely with the Production Scheduler
- Embrace new technologies ensuring their successful commissioning and positive introduction to the team
- Ensure the team has a strong and positive safety culture
- Run pre-start meetings and toolbox talks
- Jump on to tools to assist with mechanical tasks for example lathe work

**What you'll need to succeed**

As the Factory Supervisor you will join an established team with a wealth of product knowledge; you will bring previous mechanical experience in a manufacturing environment so that you can be a positive contribution to this fast-paced production team. You will have the following skills and experience:

- Manufacturing background with strong mechanical skills
- Good understanding on how to implement and drive efficient production processes
- Ability to plan, coordinate and direct production staff
- Ability to help staff when required, for example, performance concerns, training and HR concerns
- Strong safety knowledge and experience
- Good verbal communication skills
- Good organisation and time management skills especially when working to deadlines
