Financial services client with developing function seek an established Category Manager with indirect exposure **Your new company** Our client is a well-known, diversified financial services firm located in the CBD, which provides a wide variety of integral services to its customers nationwide. We have supported them extensively as they have restructured their procurement team over the last few years. With experienced leaders in place and investment from the top down in the procurement function, this is an excellent time to join this market leader. **Your new role** Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you will take end-to-end ownership of a portfolio of professional services related spend totalling approximately $100m annually. Key responsibilities will include: - Leading all source to contract activities within the professional services portfolio, with the assistance of business stakeholders and procurement operations/analytics team, delivering consistently positive procurement outcomes - Driving longer term value within your category through rationalisation, development of supplier panels where appropriate and longer term supplier relationship and contract management activity - Working collaboratively with the broader procurement function and other business stakeholders to deliver procurement outcomes for the business more consistently. - Effectively managing all risk and compliance relevant to your defined category **What you'll need to succeed** To be successful in this role, you will come with demonstrable experience operating within a structured procurement environment, ideally within a corporate or financial services, with exposure to indirect and ideally professional services related spend profiles. You will have the ability to lead source to contract activities and drive mutually beneficial outcomes, while also having a keen eye for longer term value and the ability to lead and execute category strategies.
