**About our role**:
A great opportunity exists for a Credit Analyst to join our Accounts Receivable team, a high performing team of 6, reporting into our Accounts Receivable Team Leader. This is a full function credit role, managing a mixed ledger of Simplot major accounts and Food Service Customers.

The purpose of this role is:

- To ensure accounts are maintained in accordance with the Credit Policy, while identifying any financial risks and minimising the exposure to bad debts.
- To ensure claims are resolved and actioned in line with credit terms
- The Processing of Retail, Food Service and SFT claims and also promotional claims for retail

There will be some interstate travel required in the role, 2 - 3 times per year.

**What you will do**:

- Enhance cash flow and minimize bad debts through effective collection strategies and precise payment management, while closely monitoring overdue accounts
- Develop and maintain strong internal and external partnerships, ensure accounts are clear to facilitate payments, and provide timely communication regarding payment issues
- Oversee direct deposits, allocate payments daily, reconcile accounts, resolve claims, ensure policy compliance, and contribute to process improvement initiatives
- Identify opportunities for improving payment recovery and recommend adjustments to credit terms, while supporting organizational values
- Foster a positive team environment, work in a high performing team, offering support where required

**About you**:

- Experience in a Credit Analyst / Accounts Receivable position
- Understanding of basic mathematics, accounting methods, reconciliations, cash management and foreign exchange
- Experience working with confidential documents and maintaining confidentiality
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Experience with JDE and SAP advantageous, but not required
- Experience within FMCG preferred, but not essential
- Attention to detail
