If you are a well-rounded designer looking to join a high-performing design team this is the right place for you. We have an exciting role for a Product Designer looking to deliver beautifully crafted experiences and drive innovation, with the goal of revamping our website to better serve the needs of both our residential and business customers. We are a diverse team of product designers, researchers and thought leaders that put our customers at the heart of everything we do, empowering AGL to connect with all Australians.

What you’ll be doing

The Product Designer will achieve success by designing innovative, intuitive, and functional experiences, while acting as an advocate for our customers. In this role you will:

- Design flows and experiences that simplify and distil down complex actions into usable interfaces guided by user research and testing.
- Craft beautiful designs that will inform an accessible design language that will drive greater efficiency through well-defined, reusable and cross-platform components.
- Collaborate with other designers to ensure the customer experiences are seamless across channels.
- Play a pivotal role in shaping, educating, and executing cutting-edge design methodologies to address customer challenges effectively.
- Identify hurdles and delays our customers may feel while using our products and services and attempt to minimise them.
- Use your curiosity and behavioural science fundamentals to re-imagine our website by creating excitement to keep people engaged.
- Contribute to AGL’s design culture with your own unique talents and grow your career down a path that’s right for you.
- Give and request feedback from designers to continually raise our bar for quality.

About You

What you’ll bring to the table
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of interaction design principles, user interface design patterns and standard HCD methodologies.
- Expertly interpret customer needs and convert them into significant and influential experiences.
- High-level proficiency with design and prototyping tools including Figma.
- Experience in a digital agile environment working closely with developers.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to influence stakeholders professionally and effectively.
- Proficiency in Adobe Experience Management - desired expertise.
- You are a positive and resilient personality that embraces feedback and has a desire for continuous iteration and improvement.
