We are recruiting for a leading organisation having Australia wide presence seeking a highly skilled and motivated Network Testing Specialist. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work with state-of-the-art technologies and contribute to the success of the innovative projects.

**Your new role**

As a Network Testing Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and executing comprehensive testing procedures for our network infrastructure components, including SD-WAN solutions, firewalls, data centers, and Cisco switches. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of our network systems. This is a 12-month rolling on contract role with hybrid working option.

Key Responsibilities:

- Test Planning: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including network architects and engineers, to understand project requirements and develop detailed test plans for SD-WAN, firewalls, data centers, and Cisco switches.
- Test Execution: Execute various testing methodologies, such as functional testing, performance testing, scalability testing, and security testing, to validate the functionality and performance of network
- Issue Identification and Troubleshooting: Identify and document any defects or issues encountered during testing and work closely with the development team to resolve them promptly.
- Regression Testing: Perform regression testing to ensure that system changes and updates do not adversely affect existing network functionality.
- Network Monitoring: Utilize monitoring tools to analyse network performance, proactively identify potential bottlenecks or anomalies, and recommend improvements.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of testing procedures, results, and configurations to facilitate knowledge sharing and future reference.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate effectively with team members, providing regular updates on test progress, challenges, and outcomes.
- Stay Updated: Keep abreast of the latest networking technologies, trends, and best practices to enhance testing methodologies and stay ahead of industry developments.

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Proven experience in network testing with a focus on Cisco SD-WAN, firewalls, data centers, and Cisco switches.
- Familiarity with testing methodologies and tools such as wireshark.
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, etc.).
- Experience with Cisco networking equipment and software (IOS, IOS-XE, NX-OS).
- Understanding of security principles and experience testing firewall configurations.
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Python or Perl for test automation.
